MARKET OVERVIEW

1. Stock Market:

Vietnam Market: The market continued its upward trend despite encountering resistance at the 1,565-point level. Liquidity remained high, indicating solid capital inflow support. A breakout above 1,565 may open a new upward leg, though the 1,585 level—a previous reversal point—is expected to be a critical battleground that could determine the next market direction.

U.S. Market: Wall Street closed slightly higher with strong performance from the tech sector. Nasdaq led with a +1.2% gain, followed by the S&P 500 at +0.7%, while the Dow Jones edged up 0.2%. Apple surged 5.1% after announcing a $100 billion domestic manufacturing investment, lifting the overall market. Positive earnings from Q2 (over 80% of companies beating expectations with earnings growth rising from 5.8% to 12.1%) and expectations of a Fed rate cut in September reinforced investor optimism.
