MARKET OVERVIEW
1. Stock Market
- Vietnam Market:
The market continued its sharp decline, breaking below the MA(200) support around 1,648 points with increasing liquidity, indicating that selling pressure is dominating. The rapid downside momentum may push the index toward the 1,575–1,600 range (near the weekly MA(50)). Although the short-term outlook remains negative, the 1,575 level is expected to attract buying interest and potentially trigger a technical rebound.
- U.S. Market:
In the trading session on March 23, 2026, U.S. equities rebounded strongly after a series of declines as market sentiment improved amid easing geopolitical tensions and falling oil prices. Specifically, the S&P 500 rose about 1.1% to 6,581 points, the Dow Jones gained 631 points (+1.4%) to 46,208 points, and the Nasdaq increased 1.4% to 21,946 points.
2. Forex
- EUR/USD: Rebounded to around 1.1580–1.1610 as the USD weakened slightly during the session; however, the broader trend remains range-bound after a period of strong volatility.
- USD/JPY: Pulled back to around 158.4, slightly lower from recent highs, indicating a slowdown in the uptrend and the emergence of a short-term technical correction.
3. Gold
Gold dropped sharply to around $4,300–4,400, maintaining its medium-term downtrend as bond yields and the USD continue to exert pressure, alongside strong profit-taking following recent volatility.
4. Oil
Oil prices showed strong volatility but cooled off from recent highs, trading around $90–100 (WTI) and ~$99–100 (Brent) as geopolitical tensions eased, although supply risks remain.
5. Crypto – BTC
Bitcoin declined to around $67,000–68,000, losing a key support level and maintaining a short-term bearish trend, with significant liquidation pressure observed in the derivatives market.
