Market Consolidates at High Levels: Awaiting a Breakout Signal

Release Time: 10:00 AM, January 27, 2026
Author: Ms. Jenny

MARKET OVERVIEW

1. Stock Market

Vietnam Market:
The market traded cautiously as it rebounded toward the MA(10) but quickly retreated to the MA(20), indicating rising selling pressure despite supportive capital flows engaging in contention. Increased liquidity reflects clear tug-of-war dynamics. While there is no clear recovery signal yet, the market is still attempting to hold levels around the MA(20). Short-term corrective pressure may persist; however, the prior uptrend is expected to continue providing support during the ongoing supply–demand probing phase.

U.S. Market:
In the January 26 session, Wall Street moved sideways with a slight pullback as investors weighed new economic data against valuation concerns. The S&P 500 slipped about 0.2% to near 6,880, the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged down ~0.1% to around 49,250, while the Nasdaq Composite held steady near ~23,550. This price action reflects cautious sentiment as flows paused after the previous rally, awaiting clearer macro guidance.
