MARKET OVERVIEW

1. Stock Market

• Vietnam Market: The market found support around the 1,660 – 1,665 zone and attempted a rebound, showing that selling pressure has cooled despite continued foreign net selling. Lower liquidity reflected cautious sentiment after the profit-taking session. In the short term, recovery signals maintain the opportunity for VN-Index to move toward the resistance area of 1,690 – 1,700 points.

• U.S. Market: U.S. equities continued their rally with the S&P 500 up 0.3% to 6,501.86, marking a second consecutive all-time high. The Dow Jones gained 0.2% to a record 45,636.90, while the Nasdaq advanced 0.5% to 21,705.16, nearing its historical peak. Economic growth expectations strengthened as Q2 GDP was revised up to 3.3%, while jobless claims came in below forecasts, boosting market sentiment and increasing the likelihood of a Fed rate cut in September.

2. Forex

• EUR/USD: Bearish trend. Short positions may be considered today. Daily resistance: 1.16840.

• USD/JPY: Bullish trend. Long positions may be considered today. Daily support: 146.800.

3. Gold

The precious metal remains steady around $3,390.27/oz, as investors await U.S. economic data to gauge the Fed’s rate path. Another source reported a slightly lower level at $3,389.73/oz, down about 0.2% from the previous session, reflecting profit-taking and anticipation of the Core PCE index — the Fed’s preferred inflation gauge.

4. Oil

• XTI/USD: Bullish trend. Long positions may be considered today. Daily support: 63.50.

5. Crypto

Current price: around $111,724, up about 0.14% from the prior session. Daily range: from a low of $111,434 to a high of $113,419, indicating relatively stable fluctuations.
