Vietnam Market:
The market failed to recover and continued to decline, with weakening liquidity showing that profit-taking pressure remains strong. The sharp drop pulled the index closer to the 1,600 support zone (MA20, lower boundary of the uptrend channel). This zone may provide support and allow the market to rebound, retesting the 1,665 level in the near term.
U.S. Market:
After last week’s rally, U.S. stocks showed signs of slight correction at the start of the week as investors reassessed their expectations for Fed interest rates. The Dow Jones dropped about –0.8%, the S&P 500 lost –0.4%, while the Nasdaq slipped only –0.2%, supported by strength in technology stocks. This adjustment reflects caution as investors await Nvidia’s earnings report and upcoming core inflation data.
EUR/USD: Uptrend, buy opportunities today. Daily support: 1.16200
USD/JPY: Downtrend, sell opportunities today. Daily resistance: 147.800
Spot gold fell 0.2%, now trading at $3,364.25/oz.
December futures also fell 0.3% to $3,409.80/oz.
Reason: The stronger USD reduced gold’s appeal to foreign investors. However, sentiment remains positive due to expectations that the Fed will cut rates in September, with confidence at 87%.
Overall trend: Gold is slightly correcting after hitting a two-week peak, but still supported by expectations of monetary easing.
Uptrend. Waiting for pullbacks to add long positions. Daily support: 64.50
Current price: about $109,632 (–3.33% vs. previous close).
Daily range: $108,951 – $113,591.
Quick take: BTC is under heavy selling pressure, showing a deeper correction today.
